South Indian Idli Recipe

Ingredients

For Batter:  -2 Cup Rice  -1 Cup Urad Dal  -1/2 Cup Poha  -Water as required   -1/4 Cup Curd   For Idli:  -Batter  -Eno  -Salt as required 

Radish

First of all we have to take rice, urad dal and poha.

Step 1

Soak dal and rice in separate containers for 6 to 8 hours.

Step 2

Swad Special Tips

Wash rice and lentils properly to remove the dust.

Step 3

Grind this in mixer and make a fine batter and to make it more smooth add curd in it.

Step 4

in the same grinding, jar grind lentils too and make a fine paster by adding a small amount ofwater.

Step 5

Mix the batter in a single way movement .

Step 6

Mix salt according to taste and 1 table spoon oil and mix them well. 

Step 7

Step 8

Idli batter looks fine, so dilute it further by adding water to it and also keep the idli steamer preheated.

Step 9

Add half tsp eno in the batter and fill it in the Idli Steamer.
